What is Kursi.al?

Kursi.al is an independent information service showing currency exchange rates in Albania in real time. It puts the Bank of Albania’s official rate next to the rates of commercial banks and exchange offices, so you can see who pays more for your currency before you change it.

How often are the rates updated?

Every 15 minutes, around the clock. Each page shows the time of its latest update.

Where does the data come from?

From the Bank of Albania, the commercial banks BKT and Raiffeisen, and the exchange offices Iliria98, ADON and AlbKredit. Details are on the Sources page.

Which rate will I actually get?

The Bank of Albania publishes an official reference rate, but nobody changes money at it. At a bank or an exchange office you sell foreign currency at the “buy” rate and purchase it at the “sell” rate; the gap between the two is the office’s margin. That is why Kursi.al shows both, for every source.

The Albanian lek exchange rate today

One euro currently buys around 90–93 lek, a US dollar around 78–81 lek, a British pound around 105–108 lek and a Swiss franc around 96–99 lek. The figures are refreshed every 15 minutes from the Bank of Albania, BKT, Raiffeisen, Iliria98, ADON and AlbKredit.
